Ida Harsløf. I am a feminist, a pacifist, and a peace activist, and I have worked with- and for peace my whole life. I was more or less born into peace work, as my mother was a” WILPF’er”. When she died, I felt that it now was my turn. Since 1984 I have been either chairperson or international representative in WILPF Denmark and at the moment I am chairperson. My focus has during the years been on disarmament, the danger of nuclear weapons, the military, and the environment, all from a women’s perspective. During the last 20 years of my peace work, I have focused on both the root causes of war and the role/faith of women in war and conflict zones, which hasn’t changed since 1915, when WILPF was founded. I have a c.p. in art, and have, throughout my working life, educated both teachers and kindergarten teachers in art.
