All-day tour to Copenhagen
Amalienborg is the winter residence of the reigning queen and the prince. It represents a unique piece of rococo architecture in Denmark, originally built, as it was, in the early 1750’ies as a city castle for noble families. Two castles are opened to the public. Chistian VIII’s Palace is partly used for a museum for the royal family of Glückburg. And Christian VII’s Palace is used for guests and official representational purposes of the queen. It is opened to the public on a frequent bases in connection with special exhibitions.
Christiansborg Palace houses the Danish Parliament, The Prime Minister’s Office and the Supreme Court. In addition to this, the Royal Family has at its disposal a number of rooms for representational purposes, Christianborg Palace Church and the majority of the Riding Ground Complex. The palaces date back to 1928 and are built in historicist Neo-baroque style. Because of fires in the past - in 1794 and 1884 - the present construction is also the third construction of the palace.
Most likely the most modern opera house of the world. Designed by Henning Larsen and inaugurated in 2005. It houses opera as well as ballet.

The Opera House is situated just opposite Amalienborg Castle.
Made by Edvard Eriksen in 1913, and now sitting on a rock at the edge of the sea overlooking Langelinje. Likely to be the lady that has been in the focus of most cameras of the country.
