The Soroptimist clubs of Aarhus
Two clubs:
1937: The Soroptimist Club Aarhus was chartered by Clara Hammerich as its god mother. The club has 45 members
1999: The Soroptimist Club Kraka was chartered by god mothers Hanne Jensbo and Bente Bertelsen. The club has 24 members.
Projects:
Lately both clubs have been active in fighting against trafficking. We have initiated a special project called "100 men – 1 letter". An identical letter was sent to 100 male celebrities of Aarhus to have them sign openly that they are against trafficking. This initiated a signature collection campaign of huge dimensions, followed up by a presentation and handing over to the Minister of Justice.

Soroptimist and the Lord Mayor of Aarhus, Nicolai Wammen. Next is our showroom model. On the last photo you see Søs Kjeldsen, Marianne Purup, Bente Møller and Hanne Jensbo mailing the 100 letters in a pillar box.
Ladies Second Hand Business:

Fatma Öktem cat walked, when Århus Kraka arranged a Ladies' Second Hand Business in the Town Hall.
Flea Market:
For 12 years the Aarhus Clubs have arranged a flea market in a weekend of November
Walk The World:

Walk the World is also a project arranged by joint efforts. On a Sunday in May we invite everyone to a walk in the spring-green wood "Marselisborg skov" south of Aarhus.
A Window Towards East:

The Club Aarhus also holds strong contacts to Ukraine and Romania, and we have chartered a good number of clubs in these two countries. We support their projects on a regular basis.
The first picture shows a bunch of happy children in an Ukrainian school. The next photo shows our Kirsten Lindberg at a visit in Timisoara, Romania.

Having visitors from Moldova some of the guests were seated in the dentist chair in the clinic of our Bente Bertelsen. Our guests also visited a village church.
